Dear HRs... Why are new hires earning more than tenured employees?
Met a fresh grad at work, and after just 6 months, he got regularized. I asked, “Magkano sweldo mo?” He said, “P32k lang." I was shocked! 😳 Been with the company for 4 years and still not at that level! So, HR peeps, how do new hires get higher salaries than us tenured folks? 🤔 Curious lang!

Super naka-relate ako. I've been with a company for 7 years now & loyal ako kahit may mga offers na mas mataas ang sweldo, I stayed kasi for the company at sa friends ko. Pero nung may bagong hire sa team, fresh grad pa, tapos during one of our casual chats, nalaman ko na mas mataas pa sweldo niya sa akin almost 5K difference! 😳 Parang ang hirap tanggapin. Eh ako nga, I've handled bigger projects and trained people like him, pero mas mababa pa rin sweldo ko kaya looking for new work ako ngayon.

I’m not against new hires getting competitive salaries they deserve that. Pero sana may effort din from HR or management to regularly review and adjust salaries of tenured employees based on performance and market value. Nakaka-demotivate din kasi when loyalty and hard work seem to be taken for granted sa totoo lang 😔

Di ko nga rin gets tong thinking na to actually wala bang salary guide mga HR na yan? Sila kaya nasa posisyon mag hire sila ng fresh grad hr tapos mas malaki sahod nila kesa sa kanila di ba masakit? 🤣 nakakabastos lang sa mga matagal ng employees na wala na ngang salary increase mas mataas pa sahod ng bagong hires asan yung logic

Salary Ceiling ang tawag jan. Tapos current competition na rin. kasi nag iiba iba yan every year. Maaring 4yrs ago pag pasok mo sa companya ang salary competition sa position mo ay nasa 25k lang. but 4 yrs after ngayon nasa 35k na. kaya pag nag 1on1 meeting kayo ng boss nyo try mo i bring up salary mo tapos dapat may back up ka na solid ka sa work mo.

"32k lang" akin nalang sweldo mo hahaha. Nung new hire Ako 17k lang samin tapos wala pang hazard pay samantalang hazardous ang trabaho Namin sa airport rain or shine mabagyuhan ka man tuloy ang operations sa rampa at 1 meal Jollibee at thank you lang binigay Sayo Ng kumpanya imbis na hazard pay Minsan delay pa, delay na nga dumating Yung eroplano kaya imbis 8hours shift mo naging 12-15h pati sahod mo delay ang baba pa hahahaha.
