HINDI KA BURNOUT, KULANG LANG SAHOD MO. Aminin na natin: A lot of "career struggles" disappear kapag commensurate ang sweldo sa stress. Peace is expensive. Ang hirap mahalin ng trabaho kung yung pambayad sa rent, kulang pa. Pretending that passion > money is pure privilege. Wag niyo ko invite sa wellness seminar kung ayaw niyo magbigay ng increase.

Is this acceptable. Applied as office staff. Nag resign yung HR/Finance manager. Then lahat ng task isa pinasa sakin with a promise na raise would be half of the salary if maghahire ng bago. However di nangyari. 1500 lang tinaas. I become one man department. Even if di managerial position ko. Kasi di napromote. Now I resigned kasi after three years, raise ko is 270 pesos lang. tapos malaman ko after I resigned. Lahat ng task ko hawak na ng tatlong bago na office staff. I feel so disappointed.

Breadwinner tax is a real struggle. Being the one who pays for the siblings' tuition and the parents' bills means I have almost nothing left for myself. It’s a cultural thing, but it’s also very heavy. How do you set boundaries with your family regarding money? I want to help, but I also want to build my own future. Is it okay to say no sometimes? I feel so guilty every time I try to save for my own goals. I need some emotional and financial advice on this.

Asking for a raise is terrifying. My annual review is coming up and I want to ask for a 20% increase because I’ve taken on the work of two people. How do I present my case without sounding entitled? Should I bring a list of my accomplishments or a comparison of market salaries? I’m so nervous that they might say no or think I’m ungrateful. If you’ve successfully asked for a raise recently, please give me some pointers on how to handle the conversation.

Tax deductions are making me cry. I looked at my payslip and realized how much goes to BIR every month. That could have been my grocery money or savings! It’s even more frustrating when you don't see where the taxes are actually going. How do you guys feel about the current tax brackets? I wish there were more incentives or deductions for middle-class workers who are carrying the burden. It feels like we are paying so much but getting so little in return.
