Administrative Staff
Hello! I wanna get some insights sana.
Just a short background, I'm a vocational graduate from the province. I was offered a job here in Parañaque that pays around 20k. When I searched for related job posting, their range is 16k - 18k. I have around 9 months of solid experience in the HR Role, however I have no degree and maybe I'm just lucky with my first job. Now prospective employers offer me the same range 16k to 18k. Should I lower my salary expectations?
tyia for the inputs.

Congrats on getting an offer higher than the average! That shows your value and potential. If the job pays 20k and you already have 9 months of HR experience, you don’t necessarily need to lower your expectations. Instead, build your skills (like Excel, labor law basics, or recruitment platforms), and use that to justify your salary in interviews.

Stick to your current rate or slightly higher if you can show growth in your skills. Employers may use your lack of a degree as a reason to offer less, but experience and performance matter a lot too, especially in HR. Just be ready to explain how you’ve contributed in your current role.
