Genuine question: Bakit HR ang nakikipag-haggle sa salary… eh di naman sila nagbabayad? 😅 Bakit parang HR ang pinaka-defensive kapag mataas ang asking salary? It’s not even coming out of their pocket?? Nag-a-apply lang kami based on what we think we’re worth. HR friends, honest Q: bakit ganun?

Because HR is meant to protect the company not the employee.

hi HR here and usually we only follow rules given to us for ex. this is the only range offer for a certain position then we will ask the applicant beforehand kung how much asking nila kasi dapat mang galling kay applicant yung amount talaga and ako ginagawa ko i always respect the applicant salary asking at bahala na si manager/head to evaluate them

for like 8 years mix of working & applying din hangang ngayon di ko parin gets bat ganyan sila actually never pa ako naka encounter ng honest HR that will give you the right amount that you deserved kaya sa final interview i still negotiate my salary kasi mas understanding pa mga boss kesa sa mga HR

Administration Role
tagal ko narin napansin bat kea ganyan sila na sila pa yung stress at parang naiirita pa pag ang taas ng asking mo at ayaw mo ng offer nila e sana di na sila nag ask ng what's your desired salary tapos sila din pala masusunod 🤣

From the recruitment HR side we're the frontliners ng negotiation, part ng trabaho namin to stay within the company’s budget. So we hope for understanding na hindi naman sa ayaw kang bayaran ng tama, pero honestly lang pag mataas kasi asking na o-overlooked din ng management

This is why wage determination and labor pricing should be taught in schools. It is NOT the department who is paying for your role. It is the whole organization and HR is the mediator who needs to satisfy the needs of the requesting department, the salary ceiling, the needs of the employee that'll be hired. Efficiency (in economics) mean using resources in a way that gets the maximum possible output or benefit without wasting anything.

Because every role has a salary range. Parang kapag ggrocery kayo, you have a budget bago ka pumunta sa supermarket and you choose aling items ka willing to spend more, or less. Also to maintain equity within the company. Syempre you cant expect na ganito ganyang salary if youre a fresh grad pa lang, tipong onti na lang papantay na sa employee na 5 years of experience na. Of course ibang usapan na ang low-balling. Walk away from those kinds of companies.

For me mga bida2 mga ganyang HR na parang kala mo ikaka employee of the year nila pag naka pasok sila ng employee na alam din nilang binarat nila kala mo mga taga pag mana sila na sila yung nagpapasahod sa employees at kala mo ikakataas din ng sahod nila di rin naman nag papabango lang sa boss mga yan

Based on my experience, if the hiring manager is Pinoy? Matic law ball offer yan! Pag ibang lahi, mas madali kausap! Pansin nyo din ba? Prang ayaw nalalamangan noh?! Hndi ko alam kung pabibo sa client yung ganun o anu. Kasi pag pumayag ka, galing mo lalo yung matataas na role tpos low ball offer? Maaga sila ma popromote dhil sa pang lalamang nila.
