Asking for ₱30K starting salary? Show ₱30K skills.
I’ve pushed for ₱30-60K when a candidate clearly deserved it.
I’ve also had to adjust offers when the skillset didn’t align.
It’s not about lowballing — it’s about match.
If the offer doesn’t feel right, say no.
Curious: What’s your asking salary right now?

this is good to know from a recruiter perspective the thing is i assume you're not under a local employer here since local employers here in the ph are lowballers 🤣 they won't give the salary you deserved rather you will get the job if you accept their low salary offered this is the typical filipino mindset that won't ever change in the workforce no wonder many opt to work abroad

Yes, that 30k maybe enough for one role but it totally depends on the job posted. Like for example, 3 roles combined into 1. The offer is for the lowest role thats part of the description. I sometimes see 4 roles but only one specific role is indicated. Filipinos are being manipulated into thinking, ok… but then when you read between the job description, its a total of 3 or more roles that should be separated. Thats so wrong in so many ways and giving modern day slavery.

the sad thing and reality is most HR's give lowball offers even if they're just complying with the company it's still not fair to guilt trip applicants for a lowball offer just bec. they're desperate does giving lowball offers make the HR a best employee? why not be fair in the first place i think salary should have a law now too not companies just making a guess
