Fresh grad with zero experience, ₱50K asking salary. Sana okay pa kayo freshies? 😅
Interviewed someone today for an entry-level role.
No experience, pero confident sa “₱50K expected salary.”
Manifestation? Inflation? Audacity?
Not hating, just genuinely curious.. Is this confidence we should admire, or a sign na sobrang disconnected na sa reality?

as a fresh grad, yes masyadong mataas ang asking niya pero need pa ba ipagkalat or ipost ito? should this be confidential kahit anonymous pa to and based sa wordings mo parang di HR nag post nito this is not funny passive-aggressive type for me you're just full hating on an applicant that clearly needs guidance buti naka iwas siya sa company niyo kung ganyan ka work pala niya

i wonder how you handle that situation i think yun ang concern dito hindi si applicant just saying also pano pag andito si applicant na yan nag a-apply dito tapos makita niya post na to pinagkakalat mo na dapat hindi to pina-public kahit ano pang hr related stuff, not hating but i think you're the issue here OP

As a fresh grad trying to find a job na sure na ma h-hire, having a 15k to 20k is enough for me. Laking tulong na yun for a change from being palamunin to nagpapalamon.

I dont think it’s bad to ask for that range since NAGTAPOS nga eh. Yes, no experience but, grabe rin naman kasi yung kikita ka ng 20k with a degree? Sana ayos lang kayo. The old mindset of having low standards, i hope y’all outgrow that. We deserve a salary na mabubuhay tayo, di dahil sa out of touch sila in reality. Kaya maraming nag aabroad lol.

SKL. I have a college friend, 2022 kami grumaduate. Natuwa kami kasi 55K base salary offer sa kanya, bukod pa other non-taxable benefits. Siguro dahil nakita na magaling sya, kasi developer at magna cum laude. It really depends din talaga sa sa skills ng applicant or sa mismong employer.

Is the job posts WFH? If its on site its something that needs to be considered too. Especially job roles that’s combined into one. I am seeing a lot of job posts that shows specific role but the job description is for 3, even 4 roles. Honestly, the offers are unjust and a good definition of modern day slavery. Offers are going backwards. Lesser and lesser than before.

Better yet, give context what role is that, kung tech side yan, mapapahiya ka lang dahil mataas na talaga ang range even for fresh grad.

Cashier
Hi gen-z here, a hard working student and graduated year 2023. May first job as a working student before ay sa fast food and I got offered 8k monthly then pinatos ko na kesa wala akong trabaho. Ang hirap maghanap ng trabaho habang pinapaaral mo yung sarili mo e kaya tiis lang muna, kahit super critical nung trabaho as cashier then need ko mag resign kasi graduated, then nakahanap ng ibang work and I got offered 10k monthly pinatos ko uli but yung work ko dun sa company is madugo talaga +

I think it is everyone's desire to have higher salary. Either fresh grad or experience.
we share these high desires to the employers because none of them would tell their actual budget per position per experience anyway.
Truth based on experience.
which is why.
HR!!
Help the Gen z's understand the situation.
