Onboarding Coordinator
Great CV but with bad interview? Expect NOT to be hired. I’ve seen this ruin careers. As an HR, madalas akong maka-encounter ng applicants na solid ang resume at portfolio pero pagdating sa interview, kakabahan, one-liner sumagot, o parang may binabasang script. Tandaan, hindi lang skills ang tinitingnan, kundi pati communication at confidence! What makes you so scared of job interview ba guys?

This should not be the basis for judging the candidate. yes there are some candidates do this, but don't reject instantly. I had a candidate before kabado and stuttering but I gave him the job because we don't judge, not all are great in interviews and his background is good. to my surprise he is such good communicator even became a manager. I asked him why are you not like this during the interview? he said that HR scares him. let us be more compassionate, it's not bad to scared. it's normal.

Base on the people I interviewed through the years . I had candidates which are so good during interviews very fluent no stuttering but when in the actual job itself had a very unsatisfactory performances. While, I had more candidates that are bad in interviews yet great in job itself. that is why in my team we don't base it all in interviews or communication skills. there are a lot of fair metrics to be used. that is why unemployment rates goes up. let us bring back the human in human resource

It’s disappointing to see an HR professional with such a narrow mindset. Nervousness in interviews is natural, and not everyone excels in verbal communication, but that doesn’t mean they lack the skills to perform well. Filipinos are not Americans, and English is not our first language, so expecting flawless confidence is unrealistic. A good HR professional should create a supportive environment, not look down on anxious applicants. If you judge talent this way, you’re not fit for HR.

Ako with years of experience na pero gang ngayon di ko parin macontrol kaba ko & nag stutter pa ako during interview at alam ko naman yun ang reason bat di ako natatangap kahit maganda pa resume & experience ko pero di ko kasi ma control body ko & i try to explain it naman nakakahinayang lang din na na-overlook kakayahan ko dahil sa kaba ko at di pa straight english

i think yung mga online resume makers & syempre AI that helps in constructing words to put sa resume are factors to make an impressive resume parang ang point mo is di tugma yung resume sa tao but as an HR di ba dapat mas alam mo body language or character ng applicants, yung iba ayaw ng over confident kasi mayabang sa workplace so i think walang masama kabahan kasi that's part of job interviews

It really shows this Human resource staff has the ability to tolerate her invalidation skills instead being optimistic to those applicants who can provide quality performance in the future. Ganun talaga basta lakas ng loob kasi HR ka kasi? Very wrong.

How long have you been in your role? If you don't understand why people can get nervous during interviews, then maybe you shouldn't be passing judgement. Baligtadin natin ha: How did you set the stage for the interview? How was your tone and delivery of the questions? How did you acknowledge the applicant's responses? What approach did you take to clarify vague answers or to get further details? When you sensed that the applicant was nervous, how did you acknowledge it?

Recruiters like you are the reason of wasting good talents and letting those “confident” candidates take those positions then later on you’re all acting shocked these candidates are underperforming. Empty vessels make the most noise.
