AM I TOO GREEDY OR JUST PRACTICAL?! 🤔😬 Guys, need brutal honesty kasi baka ako lang may mali dito. Currently working as a Junior Accountant, 55K sweldo, full benefits, hybrid setup, chill workload, at mabait boss ko. 2 years pa lang ako sa field. Then, I got an offer, 85K sweldo, same role, THO full RTO. Kapal ba kung i-negotiate ko pa to 90K? Parang deserve ko naman, ‘di ba? Or ang entitled ko lang?

85k is triple na sa current salary mo kaya ok na yan kasi minsan pag nag ask ka pa parang nag-iiba tingin sayo ng hirers at naka take note din kung di ka ok sa offer nila kaya be wise nalang din to negotiate

No. if you are okay with 85k, then accept the offer. Do not ask for 90k. A difference of 5k will gain you satisfaction, but not on the employer. You work first, pakitang gilas, ka. Wait ka lang, a raise will come na parang ulan, bubuhos lang yan.

Una sa lahat saan yang work mo as accountant na chill workload?

Honestly, I'd rather keep my current job. I don't want the hassle of commuting everyday and don't have enough energy to meet new people. Since I'm already working from home comfortably and my boss is kind, earning 55k isn't bad. Opinion ko lang to ha hahaha well my life goals are simple, anyway kasi If I had to commute, I'd need to prepare for work, think about outfits, and plan meals. Well again that's just my opinion, but if you're eager to earn more, go for it! 55k is already high paying job

kung being practical di ko iiwan chill workload ko sa totoo lang pero syempre need din natin mag improve para tumaas sahod natin kaya mag ask ka pa ng mas malaki kasi full time onsite ka din at malaki offer for sure di biro workload diyan

It’s okay to negotiate. That’s part of the process. If the budget is higher than 85k, for sure ibibigay nila sa yo ang 90k. But some items you also need to consider: 1. Company Culture - Okay ba sila in terms of handling people. Do your background check first.

So plan wisely

wow big jump from previous mo kaya sobrang lake na ng 85k pero nothing wrong to ask kung kaya pang itaas that's not being greedy o entitled that's how salary negotiation works kaya tuloy mo na pag ask pa ng malaki in a nice manner wag yung literal greedy manner para di rin ma turn off yung employer

Go for 90k, if they accept without blinking meaning mas mataas pa sa 90k ang budget nila for the position.
