“Your expected salary is TOO HIGH” Grabe, I thought it was okay to expect 20–23k with 1 year of internship experience. Pero sabi ng employer, “You’re a fresh grad—parang masyado pang mataas.”
But isn’t internship still real work? May OT, may pressure, and sometimes, not even paid.
Real talk: were my expectations too high, or was that just unfair? 😅

nakakaloka kasi dito sa pinas kahit 4 years of internship with masteral degree pero nakitang fresh grad ka matic lowball offer agad iisipin at di ka worthy ng medj malaking offer 🤣 pero stick ka lang sa desired salary mo for sure makakahanap ka din at wag kang pa pressure magpa lowball mas ok alam mo yung worth mo

Dapat ganto every fresh grads, you did your research and know what's your worth kasi iniisip ng fresh grads di sila pwede makipag salary negotiate pero ang totoo every job interview may right ka to negotiate no matter what and valid 1 year of internship mo siguro di ka lang afford ng company na yan kaya wag mo damdamin words nila for sure makakahanap ka ng mas better opportunity

pag ganyan sagutan ng mga HR sarap lagi replayan ng ikaw ba magpapasahod sakin? galing ba sa bulsa mo yun? porke freshgrad parang di valid internships ah free labor nga yun imagine actual work with OT pa minsan na walang allowance tapos di parin valid as actual work experience sa mga HR yun kaya kuwawa lang mga fresh grad dito pag-asa nalang is mga backers😔

Always remember po andito po tayo sa pinas kahit may 4year grad kang dala and then 1 year of intern ship balewala parin yun kasi mas gusto nila na i hire yung 2 to 3 experience job related. Tapos po dont expect high salary on your first job based sa experience ko nag rarange lang sya 14 to 16k. Sana maka tulong.

Ang sabi ni chatgpt dyan
Direct but Respectful (If someone is being dismissive):
"Being a fresh graduate doesn't mean my time and effort are worth less. I'm here to grow, but I also want to be valued fairly for what I bring to the table." Dagdagan mo ng “does that make sense?”

sakin fair ka naman at nasa tama kasi alam mo din to negotiate yourself based from your skills & experience kahit fresh grad ka pa and starting salary now a days pwede 16k-20k ang mahirap na part lang is finding the right company that can give your desired salary i suggest go for bigger/international companies and avoid sa small locals dito mga kuripot kasi at tiyaga lang din many goodluck

Di sya fair. andaming nagooffer ngayon ng mas malaki dyan kahit fresh grad. nung time namin 2018 ang unang offer sakin 22k. pero ngayon given na may inflation, madami na din company nagaadjust.
