    #HappyHere, until I wasn't.
    The good thingsThe mobile incentive (a free SIM card + a monthly load credit commensurate to your role), the well-stocked pantry, and Telus International University (which, unfortunately, I never got to take advantage of.)
    The challengesProject management, where we were repeatedly likened to being diamonds subjected under extreme pressure, leaves a lot to be desired. They imposed a lot of metrices that made no sense to you (but that you were supposed to hit), and their QA Team has a penchant for wanting their team members to sound ChatGPT-ish (even before the use of AI chatbots became widespread.) Imagine your employment not getting confirmed for repeatedly failing your QA scores; and then applying at the service delivery center of the very project you used to support and being told that you had one of the best interview outputs that your recruiter for the latter has come across, that's how comical and absurd their process structures can be.

    Overall I enjoyed my stay in fact I'm very thankful for the multiple skills I acquired. They will upskill you for new additional tasks and projects but no additional pay or recognition at all making you feel underpaid and overutilized. Poor agent skill profiling. It's insulting to see yourself supporting/training an agent being paid twice but without prior skills for the job. And since you're multi-skilled they will dump more tasks/projects even loaning you out to do tasks from other department which eventually makes you exploited and burnt out. Direct support will brush off your request to review your compensation. I believed the upper management only have known the situation when I resigned and spoke my truth with HR. I'm glad for my colleagues left behind since they are now enjoying the revamp. My resignation resulted to a good change which I'm really thankful of.
    The good thingsTheir #happyHere culture. I watched it slowly deteriorating but I'd still say it's their leverage from other centers. Free unli coffee variants, free gymn, monthly mobile load.
    The challengesMicromanagement. Incompetent direct support. Your complaints, situation and suggestions may not reach the upper management. And most of all, severe office politics particularly with their in-house accounts.

    Overall, TIP has been the best company I've worked for.

    The good thingsFirst company I joined and I will always be grateful to TIP for trusting me when I had no experience and for helping me develop the skills that I have right now. I was a college undergraduate who had to find a job to support my family and TIP gave me a chance to experience what #HappyHere feels like.
    The challengesAfter almost 9 years with TIP, I guess the only challenge I encountered was how the salary isn't as competitive especially for non-voice campaigns. This is only my opinion, though, as I've heard that some of the newly-hired coworkers around the time I left had significantly higher base pay than others that I knew who had longer tenure.

    The good thingsThere are a lot of benefits for the employees. I had experienced getting free shirts, mugs, load, travel vouchers etc. They also have education programs for their employees who want to continue their learning.

    If you want to maintain your peace and sanity, look for somewhere else. You deserve better.

    The challengesWorked in a pioneer team for more than a year. During several months, it was good and all, we worked in a very harmonious agile setting until we expanded and most of the newly hired higher-ups came from another competitor. While I agree with some of the newly updated scorecards in the KPI, the longer I realized that I couldn't keep up with everything in the team. The work is getting toxic, tasks are getting repetitive, and once you did a mistake, they'd start treating you like a nobody. They would do everything in their power to silence those who are outspoken and honest. Even if you start opening up about your well-being, especially mental health, the higher-ups go radio silent pretending they didn't hear a single thing. My experience varies and it would depend on which team you will be supporting. I left the team with grace, but it felt like they were the ones who burnt the bridge and then cut it loose. Felt so much better after leaving.

    The good thingsI am absolutely thrilled with the entire experience. From start to finish, they exceeded my expectations in every way possible. The team that I was assigned to was really awesome, they really are a team player. They always help each other whenever one of the team members is having trouble with their task. I really learned a lot of skills during my entire employment duration under Telus, soft and hard skills. Your efforts will not be wasted because they will appreciate it all, no matter how small or big it was. They will give constant recognition to their employees (This may depend on the manager that you will be assigned to). Their clients are also really awesome and you won't be intimidated to be working with them. They will also see your efforts and will verbally commend you for all your hard work.
    The challengesI can't think of any challenges other than the time that they required me to work, which is the graveyard shift.
