It was good until it was not. I admire the people who are here for a long time because if I am given a better opportunity elsewhere, I am out of here in an instant
The good thingsThe pay is what's keeping me. There are managers who are nice. But I realized it is difficult to trust people in this kind of environment
The challengesThere is a reason why the job posts have been around for a long time. People do apply, but you will see right off the bat the red flags once you are for interview.

The work is easy. But every now and then there’s changes. Changes of the process. Then the following week it goes back to the old process. And the miles stone that 1k will be added after 6months. It never happened on time. I’m not quite sure if it happened though since I already resigned.
The good thingsThe people. Teammates. TL..security.
The challengesPay. The milestone that never happened though it’s in the contract.

I can't summarize my experience within this company.
The good thingsNo positive comments for this company.
The challengesAt first, I was excited and happy to be part of the team. However, after a year of working here, that joy gradually turned into frustration and disappointment. The salary is not competitive compared to industry standards, and the pressure to meet extremely challenging metrics became overwhelming. What made the experience even more disheartening was how my termination was handled. I was let go without any prior notice or proper explanation from my manager. It felt deeply unfair, especially since some of my teammates had the same issue but were only given a Notice to Explain (NTE) or a final warning. I believe all employees deserve fair and equal treatment, and in my case, that simply did not happen.

If you are looking into getting a short-term financial relief, Optum is a good company to start at. On a long-term, unless you want to be stuck in the same position for 6-8 years with very little annual salary increase and be in a company managed by APATHETIC "managers" and "directors", this company is a big NO NO.
The good thingsTraining and beneifts is probably one fo the best in the Healthcare BPO industry since Optum is an in-house CS/tech arm of UHC. During my stay at Optum, work-life-balance was relevant since, back then, we were on a hybrid setup.
The challengesThe management in general, from top management down to the team managers. The top management are top-notch client-pleasers while ost of their team managers are puppets and inexperienced. I also refuse to understand why Optum hires team managers who are inexperienced relevant to the LOB.

The best thing about OPTUM is; they don't leave you just because you are weak but they will help you become the best version of yourself.
The good thingsI honed my skills and my own great personality here. I grew so much as most of my experiences came from here.
The challengesIt's hard to gain increases in salary

Optum made me feel amused, well-devoted, resilient and advocate of rights and liberty as a human being.
The good thingsCompany is very inclusive to all employees, from operations to utility management. They have a good standing when it comes to benefits and perks, like retirement plan that has a good appraisal monthly. Their facilities will good enough to meed your work-place satisfaction.
The challengesThe recruitment team doesn't have urgency, like usual hiring process that literally would take 1-day processing. Some of the team managers will not meet your expectations to be good as they should be because they're just on that position to do nothing but mock people and feel disgusted when they face criticism as you exercise your rights. Another thing, salary and work compensation sucks. Adding work-load without a secured compensation. Optum could have done better if they would have team managers and executive that will compassionately embrace their so-called advocates on their sentiments on the company. Face criticism with urgency and importance, make people matter on small and big stuffs. Optum will be good company that most people will admire if they're not client pleasers.

Enjoy at first but regrets after. Don't over stay. 1-2 years is enough and jump to another. Then, Thank me later!
The good thingsThe culture, people, ethics, and work space.
The challengesThe management, too much workload, compensations and slow career progress.

Just don't stay here for longer, there is no security and salary is too low. Also, hiring process is like a Snail Mail.
The good thingsThis is a Five Star Company. Top in the Healthcare industry. Trainings were good and HMO were given upon hiring. Actual hiring process takes so much time and difficulty. Standard is high, you need to push yourself.
The challengesWe applied last January and till now still waiting when is the onboarding. No proper updates, you'll wait forever. I thought this is the kind of company I'd like to work with, this is just a temporary solution to your financial concerns. But don't get me wrong, just don't stay here for longer if you want to achieve more in your life.

Best BPO company so far. I would recommend this company if you're looking for stress-free account and the environment.
The good thingsI enjoyed when our first day was at a hotel with free buffet. They are welcoming, you'd feel being valued.
The challengesNothing. I have nothing against them.

Loved my stay here. Although it was short (14 months), the management is the factor why I stayed at the time despite feeling stagnant considering that in BPO, things are fast-paced.
The good thingsBenefits such as quarterly incentive and retirement program are the catch here. They really promote work-life balance. As per my former bosses in the account I handled, they really are a top-notch; they're approachable, values your work and contribution, and FGDs were very consistent.
The challengesNot much except for how the people can be towards you. Which is normal. There would really be workmates who are entitled and unsupportive of you with no reason at all.

Unveiling My Journey: A Candid Review of My Experience at OPTUM
The good thingsCareer Growth and Development Innovative Work Environment Diverse and Inclusive Culture Collaborative Work Environment Work-Life Balance Social Responsibility and Impact Global Exposure Employee Recognition and Rewards
The challengesI believe it's essential to share some insights about the work environment at OPTUM, emphasizing that it may not suit everyone, especially those who are more inclined towards a supportive and harmonious workplace. It's crucial to consider various aspects when evaluating a potential workplace fit. At OPTUM, the workplace dynamics can be demanding and may require a particular resilience and adaptability to navigate effectively. The culture seems to involve a certain level of interpersonal conflicts and drama amongst coworkers, which can sometimes create a challenging atmosphere. This might be due to differing personalities and communication styles. Moreover, there have been instances of perceived division among peers and uneven support from supervisors. Some supervisors may not always demonstrate a strong pro-agent stance, which can impact overall morale and job satisfaction. This could be a factor that individuals with a preference for highly supportive and encouraging leadership might find challenging. Additionally, the work demands at OPTUM can be quite demanding, often requiring mandatory overtime and facing a high workload. The night shift differential may not be as satisfactory as some might hope for, considering the nature of the work and the hours involved. In sum, individuals who value a workplace with a stronger emphasis on harmonious relationships, clear and consistent support from supervisors, and a lighter workload may find it beneficial to consider other options. However, it's important to note that this perspective is based on various experiences and that workplace experiences can vary for each individual.
