If you are looking into getting a short-term financial relief, Optum is a good company to start at. On a long-term, unless you want to be stuck in the same position for 6-8 years with very little annual salary increase and be in a company managed by APATHETIC "managers" and "directors", this company is a big NO NO. The good thingsTraining and beneifts is probably one fo the best in the Healthcare BPO industry since Optum is an in-house CS/tech arm of UHC. During my stay at Optum, work-life-balance was relevant since, back then, we were on a hybrid setup.
The challengesThe management in general, from top management down to the team managers. The top management are top-notch client-pleasers while ost of their team managers are puppets and inexperienced. I also refuse to understand why Optum hires team managers who are inexperienced relevant to the LOB.
