We’re changing the way people think about transportation. Not that long ago we were just an app to request premium black cars in a few metropolitan areas. Now we’re a part of the logistical fabric of more than 600 cities around the world. Whether it’s a ride, a sandwich, or a package, we use technology to give people what they want, when they want it.For the people who drive with Uber, our app represents a flexible new way to earn money. For cities, we help strengthen local economies, improve access to transportation, and make streets safer. And that’s just what we’re doing today. We’re thinking about the future, too. With teams working on autonomous trucking and self-driving cars, we’re in for the long haul. We’re reimagining how people and things move from one place to the next.

What’s it like working at UBER?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Uber stands out for its comprehensive benefits package, including free meals, healthcare, and well-being reimbursements. The company cultivates an inclusive and supportive work culture with professional management and friendly colleagues. Employees appreciate the flexible working arrangements that promote work-life balance, along with competitive compensation that includes attractive bonus structures.

While the company offers many advantages, there are some considerations to note. The leave policy provides 10 annual paid leave days, which some find limited. The fast-paced environment requires quick adaptation, particularly when moving between different lines of business. Additionally, some employees indicate that certain processes need streamlining, particularly in handling urgent matters.

The good thingsUber remains to be the best organization and the best work experience I've ever had in my over 15 years as a professional. You work with the best people possible, you get paired with the best managers possible, you get to be part of the best training classes possible, you get the best work schedule possible, and their Year-End Parties are among the best I've attended. The cash awards given out at the end of the year were massive. And there's free food at the pantry; all day, everyday (although they can be hit or miss, but the vegan menu is exceptional; free-flowing Key Coffee, too)! Best of all, it's cool to wear walking shorts to work! I'd go back there in a heartbeat, if given the opportunity.
The challengesSome managers do play favorites, which - fortunately or unfortunately - will affect your opportunities for advancement when the time comes. Getting laid off at my actual work anniversary was also the unkindest bit, the least that they could've done was to just give me the full PC setup they provided to me during the pandemic (but the severance package was generous with a capital "G," I must admit.)

5 over 5 with the company itself. 3/5 for the LOB as the compensation is not enough for the continuous workflow jobs.
The good thingsdaily free meal and snacks, hybrid setup, high salary.
The challengesThe high pay is not enough for the continuous workflow jobs.

All in all, it is a good company even better than average ones. It's not perfect company but it's a good place to be in for a long time.
The good thingsGood working environment. Career growth opportunities. Salary and benefits are above average. Hybrid set-up.
The challengesHMO not available for parent. Vacation/Sick leave are less compared to other companies.
