What’s it like working at Offshore Business Processing?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Offshore Business Processing consistently praise the collaborative and supportive company culture, describing it as a welcoming, family-like environment where people feel valued. The employee engagement activities, including monthly assemblies, health seminars, and fun events, are frequently highlighted as helping to relieve stress and maintain motivation. Management and team leaders are noted as approachable and genuinely caring, taking time to support professional growth. Employees appreciate the competitive benefits package, including HMO coverage for dependents, incentives, bonuses, and early salary release. The teamwork and supportive colleagues create a positive working environment, and training programmes are considered superior to those at other companies.

However, there are some areas where employees have noted potential challenges. Salary rates may not always align with current market standards, with annual increases being modest and fixed within a certain range. Leave approval processes can be challenging for some employees. Workplace policies are quite strict, including dress codes and restrictions on personal items at workstations. Office facilities could benefit from upgrades, particularly regarding space for breaks and equipment. The company maintains a 100% return-to-office policy, which some find challenging given commute times, and career growth opportunities may not always be as visible as some employees would prefer.

Work here has good sides, but there are also big challenges.
The good thingsWork here has been a good experience. The tasks can be tough sometimes, but they are always doable because of the help from friends at work. It feels nice to be part of a good team
The challengesWork here has good sides, but there are also big challenges. Leaves – It’s very hard to get leave approved. Even if I file for 5 days, only 1 or 2 get approved, depending on ranking. This feels unfair and opposite to the work-life balance they promote. QA Team – They are too strict. Even small mistakes or notes that can be edited get heavy markdowns. The job itself is easy, but they make it harder. Policies – Rules are now very strict. Even if you finish your work, you cannot leave your desk. If workforce catches you, they give a memo. It feels like working in a robot workplace.

I started as a Reports Analyst and am now promoted as a senior in the same role, which proves that OBP promotes internal career advancement.
The good thingsWhat I like the most about OBP is its workplace culture that is very collaborative, fostering a welcoming atmosphere. I honestly think that the monthly general assembly really helps employees to feel valued and recognized. And the much-anticipated employee engagement activites with HR and Marketing.
The challengesLong travel time from where I am currently staying.
