ORGANIZATION The Suson family of Tabogon, Cebu spearheaded the development of a rural bank sometime in September 1973. SEC REGISTRATION The Community Rural Bank of Tabogon (Cebu), Inc (CRBT) was organized and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) the Articles of Incorporation and by-laws under Registration No. 00055600 on April 19, 1974. BSP APPROVAL The Monetary Board under its arm the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas with Resolution No. B561 authorized the establishment of the COMMUNITY RURAL BANK OF TABOGON OF (CEBU), INC. on May 3, 1974 with the principal place of business located at the hinterland of the municipality of Tabogon, Province of Cebu. The COMMUNITY RURAL BANK OF TABOGON (CEBU), INC. opened its door to the banking public on May 5, 1974. CHANGE OF MANAGEMENT Management of the Bank was then changed when the Suson family left for the United States in 1981. The Lechido family led by Spouses Manolo and Teresita Lechido gained control and took over the management. However, on September 23, 1985, the group of Atty. Augusto Go joined and subscribed the remaining portion of the authorized capital stock and acquired the subscription rights existing stockholders thus taking control in the management and operations of the Bank. The new group reorganized the management and changed the corporate name of the Bank from the Community Rural Bank of Tabogon (CEBU), Inc. to ASPAC RURAL BANK, INC. ASPAC, the acronym of Asia Pacific, is to reflect the vision of the new investors of eventually expanding the Bank not only in terms of its capital base but also in the area of banking services. Principal office was also transferred from Tabogon, Cebu to Lapu-lapu City in order to effectively expand its market both in generating deposits and extending credit and banking services BRANCHES OPENED In the span of Five (5) years (1986-2008), ASPAC Bank opened Twelve (12) more branches all are located within the Province of Cebu. Three (3) branches were opened in Metro Cebu area in 1986, namely, Mandaue City, Talisay and Lapu-;lapu City. In the following year, Two (2) branches were opened located in Danao City and Bantayan Island and another Two(2) more branches in 1988 at Bogo and Carcar. Two (2) branches were opened in the year 2000 in Toledo City and Consolacion. In three (3) in 2007, Carbon, N. Bacalso and Banilad Branches all in Cebu City
