How to become a Computer Technician
A certificate in computer technology is typically required to become a Computer Technician. Most employers also seek candidates with industry experience.
- 1.Get a certificate in Computer Hardware Servicing and Basic Computer Programming. Courses are offered by accredited schools and institutions of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
- 2.Gain experience through an internship or an entry-level position. Hands-on and supervised training hones your skills and prepares you to handle clients and issues on your own.
- 3.Receive additional certification by taking short courses. This ensures that your knowledge and skills are up to date with current technology and software.
