Outsource Fearfully. The good thingsMy new hire trainer is one of the best mentors I've ever had, it was a pleasure to be part of her class. The pantry is also well-stocked.
The challengesI have a couple of grievances with this organization:
- Whilst they do have a shuttle service, trip delays caused by the driver's bad judgement are still counted against your attendance (despite informing your manager about the matter while you're still on the road.) Their shuttle service drivers are also not properly vetted and are not adept at handling crisis situations (like during the time where there was an altercation between a Team Lead and a New Hire Analyst in one of trips to the office; which, ultimately, caused us to be late.)
- Constant reprofiling based on "business needs" (which seems to be a blanket term for reasons involving hasty, last-minute management decisions that no one should dare question.)
- Their people managers, most of whom are ill-equipped and are unable to live up to their job titles, demand unrealistic expectations from their one-downs; which you can't question, lest you get slapped with an insubordination notice.
Caveat emptor, dear applicant.
