The first Starbucks store opened on December 4, 1997 at 6750, Ayala Avenue. Starbucks has since won the hearts of the Filipinos.Since then, over 500 stores have opened. The good thingsI've thoroughly enjoyed the community and the sense of belonging that my partners and customers have given me. The benefits and pay are ample if you aren't handling too many personal responsibilities.
The challengesThe challenges are difficult to pinpoint as a whole, as we are grouped into districts. For my district alone, I feel that they are too business-focused, which detracts from the experience as a partner. I don't think the coffee culture is fully embraced by the market, so it was hard to live our passion and put into action my passion as a coffee master.
