    The Law firm was established in July of 2002 under the name of Soriano Soriano & Partners Law Offices, a partnership between father and son, Elpidio Samaniego Soriano, a member of Philippine Law School Class of 1956 and Elpidio G. Soriano III (UP Law Class 1993), a former Junior Partner of Zambrano Gruba & Associates Law Offices (Makati City) and former Managing Partner of Soriano Lu Reyes & Associates (Pasig City).Since then the Firm name has undergone a series of amendments to reflect the names of those who served as a Senior Partners of the firm. First of such change was Soriano Velez & Partners (Quezon City) when Atty. Patrick M. Velez (UP Law class 1997) joined the firm in 2004 until he left to serve the Department of National Defense (DND) in 2010. Atty. Rhea R. Julian (San Beda Law Class 2001) a home grown junior partner, took his place as the new Senior Partner under the name of Soriano Julian & Partners until 2014. January 2015 saw the entry of two Senior Partners under the Partnership name of Soriano Ferrer Purisima and Partners with Atty. Innocencio P. Ferrer, Jr. (UP Law Class 1981). Completing the litigation team as Assitant Chair was Atty. Cherry B. Belmonte-Lim (UP Law Class 1993), former Chief Legal Counsel of DND.The name has been amended to its present name of Soriano Belmonte & Partners Law Offices (SBP LAW). Completing the ranks of the firm's vast legal resources is our Of Counsel Atty. Victor C. Fernandez (UP Law Class 1971), former National Director of the IBP Committee on Bar Discipline, former Deputy Ombudsman for Luzon and a trained international arbitrator. The firm also ushers in the enlistment of Atty. Cesar Charlie Lim (UP Law Class 1992) and Atty. Manuel Peter S. Solis (UP Law Class 1993) as consultants for tax and environment, respectively.For the last twenty-one (21) years, SBPLAW has remained as a full-service law firm that advocates the meticulous observance of time-honored processes and procedures in case handling and case management to ensure the delivery of only the best legal service, a responsible and conscientious law firm can provide.     The good thingsWorking for SBP was as challenging as it was rewarding. Every new task yielded priceless lessons on the practice and was an avenue to deliver the kind of legal services that anyone could be proud of. The diverse clientele of the Firm promises every new lawyer a chance for exposure to the different facets of litigation and to develop the grit it takes to take on the world of litigation.
    The challengesThe workload is more on the heavy side and will require many long nights that will likely turn into mornings, but the learning under the tireless mentorship of the partners makes the ride more than worth it. This is the right firm for any new lawyer who wants to learn litigation and how to do it right, and is willing to give what it takes to do that.
