I am immensely grateful to the firm and its people.
The good thingsSBP tests your grit, competence, & passion. Your contributions will be palpable as the firm has a vibrant culture of mentorship & collaboration. You will be given ample roles across many facets of the profession. Growth is guaranteed, & the variety of cases will build your confidence & independence.
The challengesA wealth of experience always demands taxes in the form of effort, dedication, & diligence. If you are serious about your career, it will be easy to lose yourself in the vicissitudes of practice. Imposing personal boundaries and finding your balance is achievable, but will require deliberate effort.

Good things come to those who persevere.
The good thingsWorking for SBP was as challenging as it was rewarding. Every new task yielded priceless lessons on the practice and was an avenue to deliver the kind of legal services that anyone could be proud of. The diverse clientele of the Firm promises every new lawyer a chance for exposure to the different facets of litigation and to develop the grit it takes to take on the world of litigation.
The challengesThe workload is more on the heavy side and will require many long nights that will likely turn into mornings, but the learning under the tireless mentorship of the partners makes the ride more than worth it. This is the right firm for any new lawyer who wants to learn litigation and how to do it right, and is willing to give what it takes to do that.

This firm taught me to always give your 100% in everything that you do.
The good thingsI really like the fact that the partners really give time to their associates, they really train their associates to become good litigants.
The challengesGiven the size of the firm you are expected to work more and handle challenging tasks. But the good thing about this is that you will be exposed to different fields of legal practice which is something that a first year associate would not normally experience.

The Firm gives young lawyers opportunities to work on big cases which his peers don't usually get in their first year.
The good thingsThe intellectual challenge which the cases provide keeps the lawyers, especially the new ones, the growth and experience to be a successful practitioner.
The challengesTime management due to the bulk of cases.

I learned that the legal profession is not just about writing pleadings but having a heart to win.
The good thingsPartners are willing to teach their associates. They are willing to give so much of their time so their associates would improve. Easy access to food and other essentials is a good thing too.
The challengesThe management may improve its benefits for the employees.

The challengesLong hours. But then again, that's expected of a good law firm.
