REpower Energy Development Corporation (REDC) was established in May of 2013 to address the country’s call for additional investments in the renewable energy sector, with the goal of setting up and operating Hydropower plants all over the country.REDC is a renewable energy company focused on expanding its Hydropower projects in target areas in the country utilizing the “clustered approach method” done by building several Hydropower projects in a particular area resulting in increased energy capacity output, utilizing the same transmission lines, infrastructure developments, and other fixed costs, and economies of scale.The country is presently growing at its fastest rate in the last 20 years. The energy demand will soon outstrip the supply of electricity. As of this writing, Mindanao is presently experiencing rotating brownouts and the country is facing a looming energy crisis. In the near future, Luzon and Visayas is projected to have rotating brown outs as well if the country's growth rate continues and there is a shortfall of new power plants that will come online. To this we commit ourselves to do our share in adhereing to the call of our country to invest and develp renewable energy projects towards a progressive Philippines.
