    After all the challenges I have encountered as a bank employee, I have made myself be a part of the company's administration.
    The good thingsThe intention of the company to make their employees well-trained and well-developed through lots of trainings and seminars conducted yearly. The branches / offices are something you can be proud of to your clients and possible customers. The personnels' salaries and benefits are worthy to mention.
    The challengesThe rotation of the employees from one branch to another branch. This is where the employee may be assigned to another branch temporarily. It will be unfortunate enough if you will be assigned to a far away branch where you cannot go home and cannot see your family for several days, weeks or months.

    I was given the thrust and confidence of the company to establish a new Division during the merger of the Savings Bank to the Main Bank, lead the newly set-up Division comprising of 5 Departments, successfully managed the departments and implement the merger in terms of systems, processes, policies, procedures and people where I was given the chance to provide management reports, improved processes and efficiently managed the new Division.

    The good thingsPNB provides excellent benefits package for officers of any rank/ position. For a traditional Bank, PNB's quite good in keeping up with fast-changing environment and provides for alternative work arrangements, mental health counselling and webinars, learning and development programs, and various employee awards and recognitions. The Bank also allows flexible transfer to other units so you can change into your target career paths should you want to explore.
    The challengesLack of manpower makes the workload heavier than usual. Onsite facilities aren't that great considering ergonomic offices is in the new. Career progression is slow for support units.

    I have been handling CCTV, alarm's technical aspects for my current employer for quite some time. With experience on branch security and safety inspections. Also I have been assigned to conduct background checks to newly hired employees.
    The good thingsThe experience that they gave me to do such intricate work. The trust they have given me to be have information from the people I have given background checks. Has been very helpfull to me to grow as an employee and for my employer to have a safe and efficient branches and knowing that the employees that they hire is of good character.
    The challengesFor the past two years, there has been no increase on our basic salary. This for me was the factor that gave me a reason to want to venture on other employment.
