The challengesI went through one of the worst hiring processes I’ve experienced.
I applied twice to EXL. On my first application, I was scheduled for a hiring manager interview and then completely ghosted—no update, no rejection, no closure.
On my second attempt, I applied for a Workforce Management Analyst role and passed a very difficult Excel exam. Afterward, without prior discussion or consent, I was suddenly moved to a different role (MIS / Reports Analyst) because they claimed they could not match my previous salary—something that should have been checked from the start.
I passed another technical exam, all interviews including final interview, received a congratulatory email, and was asked to submit statutory requirements. After my payslip was reviewed, communication suddenly stopped. I was told it needed HR manager approval, then I was left hanging for almost two months with no update or closure.
This process wasted time, effort, and created false expectations. Based on my experience!
