    "The Hidden Struggles of a Bancassurance Role"
    The good thingsThe recruitment process and training process was smooth and okay, highly kudos to training.
    The challengescame from an agency background, transitioning into the banca setup was a new experience for me. Initially, I expected the coms and targets to be somewhat similar to what I was used to. However, it was only after graduation that I learned the full deets about the comms structure and I have to admit, I felt quite disappointed. The quota was significantly high, yet the commission percentage was relatively small. We were also told that we would receive a good number of leads, but in my case, only a few were actually provided. Despite this, I still managed to set several client meetings. Unfortunately, some of those meetings were affected by feedback from clients who shared negative stories, particularly concerning claims experiences with our company, which challenged me. On top of all that, having a manager with a troubled manner added even more stress to an already challenging situation. Instead of providing motivation or support, the environment became more pressuring than productive.

    If you perform and hit the sales targets and if your clients are paying, you receive full incentives and potentially, sales trips abroad. But if not, just get ready and update your CV ASAP. If you wish to have a career growth in this company, yes it is possible, and if you're "close friends" with your BDM. Otherwise, gain some experience here, and you may seek growth and higher positions from other company.
    The good thingsIf you're looking forward or in the sales career path, this is good. You'll surely widen your network, connections and clientele as you'll be working inside a BPI Branch. Not just connecting with clients but with Bank Personnel and managers as well.
    The challenges1. If you don't hit the sales target for 3 months, you're fired. 2. If your client doesn't pay their insurance, it's your fault. It's either you won't have commission or they will deduct your basic salary. 3. Too political in terms of promotions. 4. Bank Staff and managers may be toxic others, not

    The challengesSales team is least compensated for the production expected. They do not value effort unless you’re a YES-Man. Managers require you to be productive even after office or on days off without paying your OT. They will bargain for productivity before leaves can be discussed or approved.
