How to become a Science Teacher
Becoming a Science Teacher in the Philippines involves earning a relevant Bachelor’s degree, obtaining teaching certification, gaining practical experience, and staying current with advancements in science education.
- 1.Pursue a bachelor's degree in Education majoring in Science or a related field, such as Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
- 2.Complete a teacher training program accredited by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) or the Department of Education (DepEd).
- 3.Pass the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
- 4.Gain practical teaching experience through practicum or internship programs arranged by your educational institution or through voluntary teaching opportunities.
- 5.Continuously engage in professional development activities such as workshops, seminars, and further education to enhance teaching skills, stay updated with the latest curriculum and teaching methods, and maintain teaching licensure requirements.
