How to become an IT Support Officer
Having work experience and relevant training in IT systems is usually required to work as an IT Support Officer. Most candidates start as an entry-level IT Helpdesk Specialist that is responsible for providing IT support.
- 1.Complete an IT degree. This can take two to four years to complete.
- 2.Take relevant vendor certifications. Some companies require highly specialized knowledge and experience using vendor specific IT systems. Some industry recognized certifications such as ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) are also sought after by most employers.
