They serve as the primary point of contact between the client and the organization and manage a portfolio of clients. The main aim is to ensure customer satisfaction, which involves proactive communication, coordinating with other departments to resolve issues and manage expectations, and securing client renewals. They work in many industries, including finance, marketing, customer service, and technology.
Tasks and duties
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients.
- Conducting reviews to ensure clients are satisfied with products and services.
- Advising sales teams about opportunities for further sales with key clients.
- Resolving any issues and problems faced by clients.
- Helping to generate new sales that result in long-term clients.
- Planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals and market research.
How to become a Client Relationship Manager
A bachelor degree and relevant experience or training is usually required for the role of Client Relationship Manager.
