- Assisting purchasers in procuring goods or services for an organization.
- Researching and evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability and other factors.
- Negotiating contracts regarding prices, payment terms, and delivery dates of products or services.
- Monitoring and tracking purchase orders to ensure prompt and accurate delivery.
- Maintaining accurate records about the goods or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance and inventories.
- Communicating and collaborating with suppliers as well as internal departments such as accounting or logistics.
How to become a Buyers Assistant
A bachelor degree and some experience are typically required for the role of Buyers Assistant.

- 2.Gain experience in purchasing through an entry-level job.
- 3.With ample experience, you could move up to the role of Purchasing Officer.
