What's it like to be an Animator?
Animators are art and design experts who specialize in making and applying animation to videos using different animation tools, such as Adobe Animate, Adobe After Effects, and Cinema 4D, to name a few. They’re mainly responsible for producing films, music videos, computer games, websites, and other visual output with entertainment value.
Tasks and duties
- Understanding and conceptualizing the animation needs of clients.
- Developing storyboards to fit creative requirements.
- Designing original drawings, illustrations, and other assets.
- Collaborating with creatives to build and finalize animation projects.
- Researching and learning animation tools and techniques.
Various industries work with Animators to transform their creative ideas and stories into reality. As such, Animators usually work alongside story editors, directors, and other art and design professionals. Apart from being artistic and collaborative, they must at least have knowledge of how to use multimedia applications and software, as well as have excellent attention to detail.
