It is engaged in the manufacture of world class quality zippers snd is currentyly supplying the Philippine garment industry its quality slide fastener requirements.HistoryThe joint venture agreement was officially signed on March 1977 in Toyama, Japan while the company was established on October 17 of the same year. Its factory was constructed on a six-hectare property along the Phil-Japan Friendship highway in San Bartolome, Sto. Tomas, Batangas. It was inaugurated on October 23, 1978. Commercial operations began on January 1979. YKK Philippines was registered as a Non-pioneer Export Producer of Zippers with the Board of Investments on June 1979. The plant houses one of the most modern zipper manufacturing plants with the most advance technology in its field. Its zipper making machines/equipment were designed, fabricated and assembled by YKK Japan. It is also the last project to be established by YKK Japan in Southeast Asia in the 1970’s.Product & ServicesThe company manufactures three types of slide fasteners. On 1978, nylon zippers were first introduced in the Philippine market. Then on 1981, YKK Philippines started manufacturing metal zippers. And on 1990, the manufacture of vislon zippers began. As part of the on-going development, Snap and Button line like buttons and rivets used for jeans, snaps and snapets for infant wear, etc. are made available. Textile and Plastic products like buckles, hook & loop, cord stoppers, adjusters, etc. for the luggage, sandals, jacket industry to name a few are also now being distributed locally.

    The good thingsFirst, it is their Appraisal and being a multi-national company, they support trainings even abroad. You have free coffee everyday, meal allowance (when regular employee, else free meal at factory), retirement benefits (min. of 5yrs), HMO, social events,13th & 14thmonth pay, free dishwasher, etc. But beside those perks, what's most important for me, is the fact that they give their employees what they deserve. And their management is composed of very good people.
    The challengesIn every company, you will encounter different types of people, I think the only negativity I've seen is that some people would not be as smart as you, not as humble as you, and not as clear like you. But given that, you should be as professional as you always were.
