What’s it like working at Top Draw Animation?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Top Draw Animation offers structured training programs and learning opportunities for artists to develop their skills, with guidance from experienced seniors and directors. The work environment is praised, with amenities like a canteen, pool area, and relaxed dress code.

However, some employees feel that the compensation, including basic salary and overtime pay, could be improved to be more competitive. There are also concerns about heavy workloads and tight deadlines, particularly for roles like animators and layout artists. While the new management is appreciated, some reviewers feel that management could be more in touch with the needs of project-based and freelance workers.

Starting your career in the animation industry is good in this company. Staying for a long time is questionable and might not be sustainable.
The good thingsGood for starters. Very good seniors.
The challengesIrregular projects, Basic salary can be removed, Pressure achieving the quota depending on the assigned project. One can be transferred to another project without supervision. Low salary.

Challenging because I came in when the change was happening but overall it was a meaningful one for me since the change brought about improvement in the working condition in the studio.
The good thingsNow under a new management. Recently acquired and employed management experts. There is a new group called People Experience Team. Structured learning is in place to develop one's full potential as an artist. If one is up to improving craft, this is the right studio to go to.
The challengesThere are still changes that are being implemented. Negative feedback from those who are not open to changes.

Cool Place to Work.. But Better Listen to People
The good thingsCool place to work with. We had nights wherein there's a band who can play in the canteen. There's also a pool there people can play. It's also not that strict with office attire. I liked the discipline of the operations team -- PA, directors and artists. They get the job done.
The challengesI think the management is out of touch, especially for project and freelance based workers. They need to listen more. Better compensation.
