The good thingsThe good thingsI really learned a lot. specifically the training's they provided. workloads are heavy as a Layout Artist but shows tend to run out for a few months leading to a few months of down time. but their basic compensation is enough to keep you barely afloat.
Take the training very seriously and take notes if needed, it will really help you really well enhancing your skills.
You can really make good money if you're fast and efficient enough. speed is not the only way of making good money here. fixups is also a hindrance to the entire workflow if not efficient enough which affects your output(=salary).
The challengesThe bad things.
despite of how I like(okayish) working here, there are things that needs to be improved. morale is essential in the workforce, and if your artists are not motivated enough, well you get what you pay for.
Management is improving as I have heard, but every artist needs a workplace that actually cares for their artists specifically on the medical care specially when their people tend to spend huge overtimes. and financial compensations(overtime pays) for all employees really help boost their morale.
and last of all. per second/piece really needs improvement to be competent to other studios that pays more(with or without basic pay)
I'd highly recommend you to my friends if only mentioned things are present. but for now. I'd say no.
