A passion made to be more
The good thingsI've thoroughly enjoyed the community and the sense of belonging that my partners and customers have given me. The benefits and pay are ample if you aren't handling too many personal responsibilities.
The challengesThe challenges are difficult to pinpoint as a whole, as we are grouped into districts. For my district alone, I feel that they are too business-focused, which detracts from the experience as a partner. I don't think the coffee culture is fully embraced by the market, so it was hard to live our passion and put into action my passion as a coffee master.

The challengesAs long as you can handle the situation, there's nothing you can say about what you don't like.

    A workplace like no other
The good thingsIt was a different from what I expected. Everyone was friendly and approachable. My co-workers treat each fairly, even with the manager. We call each other by names and you can really feel that there is no seniority but respect is still present.
The challengesWe focus on our self growth. To be a better partner for one another.

    My great coffee experience!
The good thingsenhance my interest and passion for coffee. Good working staffs. Friendly customers. Great management. Everyone's been treating each other fair, like no one's really high,, you can depend on each employees, esp. The management team,, and excellent training facilities and activities.
The challengesas a newbie, you have to make the biggest adjustments. You have to cope up with your shyness, so you can blend with people around you, and can interact easy with customers. And that you really have to be a quick learner as the job isn't something you should take for granted, and may look easy as you thought it was. Being a barista is one big tough job, but it only takes passion to be on the go!

A good company to learn better people skills
The good thingsFor a company that is significantly run by its owner-family, with all the usual \"issues\" and \"management style concerns\" that are common to family owned and managed corporations, I was very lucky to have had the chance to be working directly under a COO (son of the owners) who was very professional in all his dealings and who valued and supported my work which was crucial to my function
The challengesIt would help the company more if all the family members who are actively participating in running the company will have more training and lessons on family business system like the three-circle model.
