RI Chemical Corporation (RI Chem) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Resins Incorporated, one of the more diversified chemical manufacturers in the Philippines today. Founded in 1956 by the late Meneleo Carlos, Sr., the Company embodies its founder's vision of contributing to the country's industrialization by manufacturing chemicals for various basic industries. In 1958 RI Chem began its commercial operations with the production of formaldehyde adhesives for the plywood industry and alkyd resins for both the paint and printing ink industries.Soon after, the Company progressively expanded its production to include a wide range of synthetic resins for the coatings industry, fiberglass reinforced plastics, packaging, foundry, paper, textile and as well as other industries. RI Chem was for many years a licensee for the manufacture of synthetic resins of Reichhold Chemicals of the United States.

The good thingsThere are extra curricular activities that promote employee's health and wellness like basketball, bowling and sports festival. Employer ensures that there is a close monitoring on employees' health by conducting annual physical and drug examination. Company gives bonus to employees and it is based on the income of the company.
The challengesPromotion or growth in the company is quite slow or sometimes stagnant. Considering your long commitment with the company, promotion is not given to the employee. Too many consultants (people who are already in their 60s who were previously also their employees) are still being hired by the company even if the position can be filled in by younger individuals.
