It was a decent ESL company up until the pandemic began to end. Not a reliable income stream anymore.
The good thingsYou can set your own schedule. Materials are prepared already.
The challengesLow bookings. Barely any support for tutors. They made their incentives too difficult to achieve and any other bonuses are raffle based. Recently students, have also become too demanding despite the rates staying stagnant.

Working here helps me pay the bills. Actually, it's my ideal job. However, sadly, it feels like there's no hope for the salary to increase despite the increase in the living cost, it's necessary to have another source of income.
The good thingsThe flexible schedule, nice students and good system (website, internal process, etc.)
The challengesLow pay, no increase despite the length of tenure, some not so nice students (who just study because their company required them so).

Working from home offers convenience and flexibility, with a user-friendly platform and accessible lesson materials. However, the salary is low, and there's no career growth.
The good thingsIts WFH so it makes everything convenient, allowing you to work at your own pace and in your preferred style. The platform and lesson materials are designed to be tutor-friendly and easy to navigate, ensuring a smooth teaching experience.
The challengesThe salary is relatively low, with limited opportunities for career growth. Your rate remains stagnant indefinitely, offering little chance for progression. While there are metrics to qualify for incentives, they are achievable and do not lead to any meaningful long-term improvement.

The job was very rewarding and easy to do!
The good thingsGetting to meet new students was fun as well as being able to give them the opportunity to decide the flow of their lesson, may it be free speaking or modular.
The challengesIt was a bit tough to find students as I would often open bookings but not be booked, but this is understandable since I was new and some students probably preferred tutors they've already met.

Work Life Balance. It is fitted for students and mothers who are looking for a part time job.
The good thingsIt has flexi time and minimal salary deduction if you have cancellations.
The challengesThe idea of not getting booked thus les salary.

The best and the only online teaching job that you can love.
The good thingsYou can work at your own pace, but you need to adhere to the company policy/ies. Japanese students are also polite, you will never experience irreverent behavior from them. The staffs are very supportive, too.
The challengesTechnology: Online teaching requires the use of technology, and there can be challenges with internet access, software, and hardware. Make sure that everything is complied with before starting the job.

A good environment for mom like me.
The good thingsGood thing is that you have the opportunity to schedule your own schedule for the month. You can be able to see your payment and all information is very transparent to a tutor like me.
The challengesto have higher salary based on experience.

    Great Work from Home Opportunity
The good thingsI am a mom, so after class I can spend time with my son. Aside from that, you create your own time and salary.
The challengesSudden power outages, missed class would be a deduction from your salary but it is understandable

Mostly good students but teachers aren't cared for very well
The good thingsMost students are nice and fun to teach! Chat support is usually helpful.
The challengesA student exposed himself to me and the company didn't do anything about it due to a technicality.

    Too student-centric in handling complaints
The good thingsFlexible, no minimum hours required, no fixed schedule required, you work in your own pace and availability.
The challengesToo student-centric in handling complaints, does not seem to care about the tutors' welfare.

Nice students but quite low tutor fees.
The good thingsMost of the students are nice and courteous.
The challengesLow fees plus very low incentives. Would require you to at least work 3 hours on weekdays and weekends to get the incentives. If you have time to spare in the morning this is ideal for you.

    Good but Frustrating
The good thingsYou have the chance to choose your own schedule which is great if you want a healthy work life balance
The challengesThe support team and adjustments as well as the policies regarding the metrics is confusing, there are little to no updates regarding your slot adjustments which compromises the standing and performance of the tutors. Overall, it's exhausting working your butt off only to find the support team to be a bit off schedule and consideration even when you've complied with everything else

The good thingsNice and friendly students. Salary is good for beginners. Nice and user-friendly platform. Very few penalties.
The challengesNo progression or promotion even if you stay in the company for a long time. Hiring process does not stop so some tutors don't have students. Salary remains the same.

Overall great company, can still be improved, but I am mostly satisfied.
The good thingsAbove Minimum Salary Accommodating trainers
The challengesStudent-centered Few rude students Website sometimes crashes The incentives are unfair, they choose tutors who will individually receive the incentive. They don't give other tutors the opportunity to receive these certain incentives.

Great Company, Flexible, and Good Management
The good thingsProductivity-based, you earn based on the time and effort you put into it. Flexible schedule to as you can choose whenever you want to conduct lessons. They don't require quotas and the tutor support is really good, polite, and helpful. Management is understanding too. Incentives will make you want to work hard. The materials are sophisticated and easy to carry out and the students, generally, are polite and friendly.
The challengesThe productivity-based nature is also a bad thing. If you get lazy or sick, you won't be able to conduct classes and thus, you can't earn much. As a starter, you need to wake up early in the morning (5AM) to conduct classes (that is if you want to earn more, it's not compulsory though). The internet connection in the PH is not so table so sometimes it can be troublesome.

Not good, but not totally bad
The good thingsThe benefits and perks are good, but the base rate and opportunity for career growth are terrible!
The challengesThe management is terrible, and the work itself is stressful.
