What’s it like working at R2 Group of Exclusive Brands?

    AI summary of recent reviews

R2 Group of Exclusive Brands offers several positive aspects, including a supportive team environment with friendly and talented colleagues. The company provides valuable training opportunities, particularly for those new to the beauty industry. Sales professionals can benefit from strong earning potential through commissions and incentives, and the fast-paced environment offers opportunities for skill development.

However, employees face certain challenges, including managing heavy workloads that can impact work-life balance. The company's operational processes could benefit from modernisation, and some employees note that career progression pathways could be more clearly defined. While sales roles offer commission opportunities, some positions have base salaries that could be more competitive.

Reviews are true. Outdated systems, profit over people, heavy workloads, blame culture
The good thingsPeople that you work with are talented and kind but seem to not fit the overall old school culture.
The challengesTreat employees with respect and consider improving the very outdated processes that make work unnecessarily difficult. The reviews here are true. This company seems to care more about profit than people, and the vision does not match how things actually work. The processes feel stuck in 2005 and have failed to modernize, and even the mindset of the people needs to catch up with the times. People are systematically pushed out of the company, and the job often feels meritless and unrewarding. You are expected to do the work of multiple people and then be blamed for failures caused by the system itself.

    Ambitious Expectations, Budget-Level Support
The good thingsPeople you work with are nice
The challengesWork-life balance basically doesn’t exist. The workload is wild — you’ll be doing the job of 2–3 people and it’s treated as normal. If you show potential, they don’t promote or compensate you; they just keep piling on responsibilities and frame it as “career growth,” which is really just exploitation. There’s no real path for promotion, and benefits are minimal unless you’re already in a higher role. Several benefits promised during hiring either never show up or are quietly walked back. Processes are messy or nonexistent. Speed is valued over quality, and as long as things get done fast, no one cares how broken the system is. Expectations are high, support is low. People themselves are nice, but the culture is toxic and unprofessional. You’re expected to deliver a lot without being fully backed. Also worth noting: a lot of the glowing reviews online feel heavily curated by HR and don’t reflect the actual employee experience.
