The Philippine Heart Center is a 426-bed-state run hospital specializing in the treatment of cardiovascular ailments. Inaugurated on February 14, 1975 by virtue of Presidential Decree (PD) 673 by former President Ferdinand E. Marcos, it was originally known as Philippine Heart Center for Asia.Located at the corner of East Avenue and Matalino Street, Diliman, Quezon City, the hospital is composed of four buildings: the fivestory Hospital Proper, the nine-story Medical Arts Building, two-story Annex Building, and the Nuclear Medicine.It is composed of more than 2,000 employees and was awarded the 2007 Employer of the Year by the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP). Excellence Award on Governance last 2014, and received the Gold Award from the Canadian Accreditation, 2011.
