Employees at the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) appreciate the opportunity to help and assist overseas Filipino workers and their families, providing support, counselling, and financial assistance. Working at OWWA has strengthened employees' knowledge about the lives and challenges faced by OFWs. The work has also helped employees improve their personality and capabilities, particularly in handling pressure and interacting with diverse people.
However, some employees have found it challenging to handle large volumes of arriving OFWs, particularly during the pandemic. Additionally, employees may need to listen to difficult stories and assist OFWs facing anxiety or distress, which can be emotionally taxing.
