Additionally, employees appreciate the instructional materials and organised learning management system provided by the institution.

Supportive colleagues but limited career growth and leadership issues
The good thingsSupportive and friendly coworkers who are always willing to help out, especially when work gets busy. Great bonds were built, and real friendships were formed along the way.
The challengesWhile the workload and environment are not entirely fast-paced, some management decisions tend to feel more personal than professional. Supervisors are not always open to honest conversations when issues or conflicts arise, and these concerns are often left unresolved. This leads to ongoing internal problems and low employee morale. Favoritism is also evident, and opportunities for growth within the department are limited. At times, policies are bypassed, which can be frustrating for employees who value honesty, transparency, and professionalism.

Supportive coworkers, but research ethics and leadership integrity are major concerns.
The good thingsOverall, the most positive aspect of my position is the people I work with. My coworkers are supportive, collaborative, and genuinely committed to their roles, which makes the day-to-day work manageable and, at times, fulfilling. The sense of camaraderie and mutual help among colleagues is the strongest reason to stay.
The challengesHowever, there are significant concerns regarding the integrity of research and administrative practices. Research outputs are sometimes manipulated, with authorship being added primarily to satisfy administrative requirements or to support autonomous positions across different campuses. This practice undermines the credibility of the work and raises ethical concerns. Additionally, leadership prioritizes recognition and accolades over transparency and academic integrity. Decisions appear to be driven more by the pursuit of awards and prestige than by genuine merit or ethical standards, which can be discouraging for staff who value honesty and professionalism.
