What’s it like working at Nippon Paint?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at Nippon Paint appreciate the great leadership and supportive colleagues, as well as the good benefits provided, particularly after regularisation. The company is praised for being well-organised with high operational standards and eco-friendly products. It also offers technical training, including opportunities abroad, to help employees remain competitive in the industry.

However, there are some potential areas for improvement. Certain employees may lack motivation and prioritise personal gain over the company's interests. The personnel management and performance evaluation system could be enhanced to better recognise effective workers. While the benefits are good, some reviewers felt the salary levels, particularly before regularisation, could be improved. Competing with local brands on pricing can be challenging given Nippon Paint's higher prices, despite superior quality. Additionally, there is a need to refurbish accounting policies and procedures, update documentation, and address backlogs with tax authorities.

Nice working with Malaysian bosses. They support us in achieving corporate goals.
The good thingsThe company is well organized, the operational stardards are high. The quality of paints being sold conforms with Eco friendly standards abroad, the company gives it's employees very good compensation and provides technical training abroad to be competitive in the industry.
The challengesComparing Nippon against local brands in terms of price, Nippon is much higher but in terms of quality I think Nippon got edge. So competing against these local brands is really a great challenge for sales guy like me.
