    Marie Ernestine School (MES) is a private educational institution in Cebu, Philippines that has been in the industry of shaping cooperative, collaborative, and contributing students of God and country since 1976.MES aims to foster the holistic development of its students through a dynamic curriculum and programs that are specially crafted for its studentry. The curriculum and programs are in line with international developments in education and intended to primarily serve Cebu’s multinational community.The school has levels of academics in the Nursery, Kindergarten, Preparatory, Elementary and High School. High school is college preparatory and, due to this, many MES graduates have gained acceptance to colleges and universities in the United States, Europe, Canada and other countries.MES is the region’s pioneer in the use of Cooperative Learning, Authentic Assessment and Dimensions of Learning. It was for this that MES Founder Dr. Marie Ernestine D. Fajatin, Doctor of Philosophy – Educational Management, was awarded the Most Outstanding Alumni in the Field of Pioneering Educational Practices and Methodologies by the University of San Carlos Carolinians Inc. in August 23, 2008.In its more than thirty years of operation, MES has graduated over 5,000 students who have moved on to become responsible and contributing members of society.

    My experience at Marie Ernestine School has been meaningful, as the curriculum truly supports students’ academic learning while also shaping their values and character.
    The good thingsMarie Ernestine School is a great place for kids to learn and grow. The teachers are caring, and the school really helps build both knowledge and good values. Truly a nurturing environment for students.
    The challengesWhile Marie Ernestine School provides quality education, I feel there are areas that can still be improved. Sometimes school activities or requirements can be overwhelming for students and parents. A little more focus on easing workloads and enhancing facilities would make the experience even better.

    The good thingsThe school practices collaboration. This makes the school unique from the other schools.
    The challengesThe place was a little bit far from where i am residing so it would take an hour before I can reach school but this is if traffic will not come into the picture.
