There's a reason they pay so well (used to) frontline people are wonderful, management no so much.The good thingsI enjoyed my role and the broad range of people I interacted with on a daily basis. The people across the operational side of the business were wonderful, hardworking, and genuinely committed to the "You Are Loved" ethos.
The challengesThere were a few senior managers who seemed to be extremely toxic towards everyone below them on the organisational chart, yet as sweet as can be to the ELT, some of whom are now part of that group themselves. It was this duplicity that left me happy to move on.
The lack of recognition from the ELT for the people doing the real work, combined with the constant promotion of those I felt were less deserving, left me wanting out. They also carried out a significant round of redundancies involving many highly experienced employees, often replacing multiple people with a single junior employee at a substantially lower salary.
