C. RODRIGUEZ CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION has its roots in materials supply, beginning as a single proprietorship named JOVITA CRUZ GRAVEL & SAND in 1965. Enterprising and resourceful, its founder, Jovita Cruz Rodriguez, also ventured into general construction through another single proprietorship she named J. C. Rodriguez Construction. The early years required commitment and dedication to overcome the challenges of entrepreneurship. Supply of aggregates remained its bread and butter. With much patience, the owners saw the steady growth of the companies not only taking care to hire competent and dedicated professionals but also slowly acquiring equipment so that when the time came, they were ready to take on bigger projects such as concreting of roads and modest sized land development projects.By 1987, the volume of both businesses had grown so much that it became advisable to incorporate. Thus, on July 31, 1987, a merging of the operations of the two companies gave birth to J. C. Rodriguez Construction Corporation. While the economy of the Philippines remained challenging in the late 80’s, an opportunity to enter commercial real estate emerged thus, Earth Centrum Realty and Development Corporation was created. In the 1990’s, further opportunities opened up and the owners ventured into crushing plant operations and batch plant operations, giving rise to Solid Integrated Co., Inc and Supermix Redi Concrete, Inc.It was also in the 90s that the owners decided to become a real estate developer through JCR Holdings Corporation. All of these companies today are thriving and bringing their strengths to the JCR Group.
