Maintain respect and avoid dismissive cues to improve the interview experience. The good thingsBeing considered for the role and given the opportunity to interview was appreciated, despite some aspects of the process feeling unprofessional.
The challengesA discouraging interview experience with HGS for the Claims Specialist role on February 9, 2026, around 1:00 - 1:20 PM. If the interview was recorded, I trust this will help identify the session. During the discussion, I felt that some of her responses and remarks were delivered in a sarcastic and unfriendly manner, and there were instances of audible reactions that came across as dismissive (such as brief, mocking sounds at certain points). This made the conversation uncomfortable and limited my ability to respond confidently and openly to the questions. I fully understand that interviews can be structured and direct. My intention in sharing this feedback is not to criticize, but to express how the tone of the interaction affected the overall experience as an applicant. I believe a respectful and professional environment helps candidates present their qualifications more effectively and reflects positively on the organization. Hope this feedback helps for future interview processes.
