HBI is headquartered in Paris.HBI is rightfully represented in the Philippines by Hanes Global Supply Chain Philippines Inc formerly PiPlay, Inc., its sole in-house manufacturing plant in Asia. Hanes Global Supply Chain Philippines Inc manufactures mainly Playtex and Wonderbra brands which are 100% exported to the HBI distribution centers in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and the UK. Hanes Global Supply Chain Philippines Inc world-class facilities are WRAP-certified, and are currently working to meet ISO standards. It boasts of a first-class raw materials quality control laboratory, extensive IT infrastructure, and is highly-computerized.Hanes Global Supply Chain Philippines Inc a subsidiary of HBI Nederland B.V. (formerly Branded Apparel Netherlands B.V.), was established last September 2006. HBI is a multinational organization manufacturing products for export to Europe – UK, France, Spain and Italy. Our facility in LIIP houses a large cutting room, which supplies cut parts to our sewing plant and local subcontractors. Our business is manufacturing Playtex and Wonderbra products for export to Europe. We also export small quantity of units to Australia and Canada. We are 100% export, no production is for the local Philippine market. We import raw materials from Europe, Asia and the Unites States. The raw materials are delivered directly to our plant here in the Philippines where they are checked for quality. After passing inspection, the Raw Materials are then cut based on our production plan. The cut parts are assigned with production order numbers, which stay with them throughout the manufacturing process. This PO number determines the final location of the finished product. After cutting, the cut parts either remain in our factory in LIIP for sewing or transferred to our local subcontractor. After the production is complete the finished goods are then shipped from the sewing location to the selling location. All of the products are made for HBI. The main countries we export to are UK, France, Italy, Spain and Germany. Currently the market in each of the DBA locations are growing, this has a knock-on effect to our manufacturing plan. At the moment we are operating at almost 8.4% higher than our budgeted sewing hours. We also had a significant increase in the projected cutting hours for the coming year. Our plant in the Philippines is one of the "Mother Plants" used by HBI. The other management center is located in U.K. With pressure mounting to reduce costs and increase quality, it is important that the Philippines is able to maintain a competitive edge. If we are able to do this then we will continue to attract more of Europe's manufacturing into Asia.
