    FILIPINO SOCIETY OF COMPOSERS, AUTHORS AND PUBLISHERS, INC.The Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP) is a collective management organization for music creators and copyright owners established in 1965 to primarily help music users get the necessary authorization to use copyrighted local and foreign songs, and help music creators get royalties for the use of their songs. It is a member of the Paris-based International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC), the umbrella organization for 232 copyright management societies worldwide.Specifically, FILSCAP licenses the public playing, broadcast, streaming and, to a limited extent, reproduction, of the songs of its members, and the members of its affiliate foreign societies. FILSCAP’s repertoire currently covers over 20 million copyrighted local and foreign songs.Among the prominent members of FILSCAP are Ryan Cayabyab, Vehnee Saturno, Jim Paredes, Rey Valera, Jose Mari Chan, Gary Valenciano, Odette Quesada, Rico Blanco, Chito Miranda, Ely Buendia, Yael Yuzon, Gloc 9, Yeng Constantino, Top Suzara, Kitchie Nadal and Ogie Alcasid.

    My experience with the company was disheartening. Despite my efforts and dedication, I faced a toxic culture marked by blame, favoritism, and lack of respect. The environment was mentally exhausting and left little room for fair treatment, growth, or genuine collaboration.
