What’s it like working at FCF Minerals?

    AI summary of recent reviews

Employees at FCF Minerals appreciate the training opportunities for operating heavy equipment, the work schedule of 2 days on and 1 day off, and the free accommodation, food, water, electricity, and transportation, as well as free clinical check-ups. They find the work challenging, demanding, and rewarding, with opportunities to exceed expectations, and take pride in the company's laudable reputation. The company is seen as supportive of experimental actions and employee decision-making.

However, there are potential challenges, such as working night shifts, the lack of vacation leave, bonuses, and yearly salary increases, with salaries perceived as average or below average. Concerns have been raised about close-minded management and a lack of proper equipment maintenance systems. Finding the right people and developing the necessary skills and competencies is seen as a challenge for the company's sustainable future. Meeting targets with limited resources and handling people to achieve common goals can be challenging. There are also concerns about managers and supervisors receiving similar levels of respect, which could impact the hierarchy. The introduction of new technology, such as an HR database, faced resistance from employees who were not well-versed in using computers. Additionally, the extended periods away from family due to the work schedule can be challenging for some employees.

Package may look good but it really is just average

The challengesNo vacation leave. No bonuses aside from the 13th month pay. No yearly salary increase. When you compare the package offered with the challenges, you could see that the salary offer is probably average or below average.
