Not enough compensation/benefit for the great learning experienceThe good thingsEven though I am from another country, I was able to experience working with various onshore team members from Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Guam. I could say that during my 3 years of total tenure within the firm, I was able to learn quite a lot, and every team member that I have worked with have been great: very approachable, no problem in handling constructive criticisms, and was a very good team player.
It is a great company to work at if we look at it from a learning and experience perspective.
The challengesHigher management had always emphasized to not look at the monetary benefits that we received but rather look at the various experiences and our learnings throughout each day - which is a bit challenging if you are always overworked to the point that it causes a hindrance to your basic daily functions as a person. They have also made a statement that 'business is business' which somehow started a flare for us employees.
We do understand that the firm is still a business; but since the lower ranking employees (including me) are still the ones working very hard for the firm to generate its financial performance. Thus, we would also appreciate it if the higher management would also take care of the employees' welfare and see things from our side a little bit more aside from the business side.
