Worst start-up. Stop your PR, it doesnt work
The good things- HMO card at the start of your employment. This is just the good thing haha - Free Cake during the birthday. again this is just another good thing - Work from home set-up but they require you to go onsite and reimbursement is haha slow.
The challenges- The performance evaluation process seems to lack a focus on development. While management points out mistakes, there's little to no opportunity for improvement before potential termination. The inconsistency in applying the "Performance Improvement Plan" is also concerning. -The company lacks a clear description of its core product. Is it a microblogging website? If so, user numbers would be helpful to understand its current stage. - While the company emphasizes its advocacy, it's important to consider how this translates to employee well-being. Financial compensation should also be a priority.

People can be flexible in various roles but only to a certain extent.
The good thingsIn previous years, the company has a generous salary appraisal program for employees and a strong company culture. The people who I initially worked with also inspired me to do my best at all times and continuously challenge myself to become better and take on additional learning every day.
The challengesThe management or at least the direct managers should take into consideration the growth plan of the people and give them ample resources to help them learn while performing their duties. Also, there should be a clear and long term direction as to where the company wants to go, so the teams can clearly align their functions to achieve such long term direction. Lastly, the upper management should deliberately practice what they tell the people in company-wide meetings.

Good and smart people, horrible management
The good thingsFlexible work hours, smart and dedicated people, and good learning opportunities.
The challengesPlastic management: say one thing but does another. Real toxic to work there with unreasonable expectations and unreliable managers.

good vision - terrible management and sarcastic culture
The good things2018 was a good start, flexible working hours, people are working with good harmony, then 2019 became ambitious, management looked at rank and file as a work horse. Great and intelligent kids ..but!
The challengesNeeds to improve the hierarchy, the senior manager is not effective, many people leave because of ambitious targets, thanks to beaurocratic habits. Too much hassle for a dev work.

Unique organization, Immense growth, Lacks focus
The good thingsIt's a very unique organization in the education technology space that is truly one of a kind. The overall purpose of the website and the company, if executed well, can definitely bring about a positive change to Filipino students and their future careers. It's a hyper growth setting with lots of opportunity for employees to take on different roles in different departments and also take on bigger responsibilities. Employees have a chance to be in contact with clients, business partners, and also the end users who are students. What I really appreciate was the fact that the company is always trying to improve in all areas (operations, HR, biz dev, etc) and that there were effective feedback mechanisms for different levels of management. As an employee there, I was able to wear many hats and be involved in various departments which made it a very exciting and rewarding place to be.
The challengesReaching big targets sometimes comes at the cost of lack of work-life balance among some of the staff. There is a lack in the general training and onboarding of new staff which led to misunderstandings and different expectations later on. Lack of focus in terms of company products and direction can discourage the team.

I have amassed so much experience and knowledge
The good things1. The people - cool, fun, and brilliant. Warm and feels like family 2. The learning - as a startup company, you get to move around different roles and learn so much even within a short span of time 3. The cause - it's all about helping kids and empowering them in making one of their biggest life decisions.
The challenges1. The structure - as a startup company, it tests your flexibility to changing environment, such as change in priorities and direction 2. The scope of work - this will put off people who are not willing to learn and take more responsibilities
