Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council is responsible in developing policies & programs, providing technical assistance and support to ECCD service providers in consultation with coordinating committees at different levels and monitoring ECCD service benefits and outcomes.VISION:By 2030, the ECCD Council shall have fully implemented a comprehensive, integrative, and sustainable National System for Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) throughout the country.MISSION:To contribute to nation-building by ensuring that all Filipino children aged 0 to 4 are provided with developmentally-appropriate experiences to address their holistic needs.GOALS:1. Universal access to quality ECCD program2. Strengthened collaboration between and among national and local government agencies including NGO’s for efficiency and sustainability of the ECCD programs.3. Increases awareness of communities and families in their pivotal role as primary service providers4. Inclusion of children with special needs with provision for appropriate and reasonable accommodations.5. Established mechanism for the systematic professionalism of ECCD service providers.
